ProjectAcoustic Testing Wind Tunnel Experimentation

Enhancing Wind Tunnel Experiment with Sound Control

Client’s Requirement

Our client sought a comprehensive solution for conducting wind tunnel experiment within a controlled acoustic environment. Their specifications included the need for a soundproof duct and room setup capable of accommodating various test specimens while regulating wind speed and minimizing noise interference.

Our Solution

To meet our client’s requirements, we devised a bespoke solution comprising a soundproof duct and room system. The dimensions were tailored to fit their specifications: a full width of 15 meters, a height of 6.5 meters, and a length of 4 meters. The design incorporated an intricate network of ducts, strategically routed to create a circulating airflow around the central test room.

Within the ducts, we implemented sound-regulating plates and integrated blowers equipped with sound-deadening capabilities. Additionally, a large fan was housed within a soundproof cover on the second floor, ensuring efficient airflow management while minimizing noise disturbance. Both the duct and blower storage sound insulation covers were designed for ease of internal maintenance, enhancing operational efficiency of all wind tunnel experiments.

Result

The culmination of our efforts resulted in a state-of-the-art wind tunnel experiment equipment, meticulously engineered to meet the highest standards of performance and precision. Our client now possesses a versatile facility capable of conducting a wide range of experiments with unparalleled accuracy, all within a controlled acoustic environment. With DMC’s expertise, the pursuit of scientific inquiry knows no bounds.
