Frequently Asked Questions

A CISPR chamber is a semi-anechoic test environment designed for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. It measures radiated emissions and immunity of electronic devices according to international EMC standards.
CISPR chambers from Diamond Microwave Chambers Ltd support standards such as CISPR 25, CISPR 16, and other automotive EMC testing requirements. These standards ensure reliable measurement of electromagnetic emissions.
Automotive electronics such as ECUs, infotainment systems, sensors, control modules, and communication devices can be tested. The chamber evaluates their electromagnetic emissions and immunity performance.
Most CISPR chambers support testing from 150 kHz to 18 GHz or higher, depending on the design and absorber configuration. This range covers common automotive EMC testing requirements.
The chamber uses RF absorbers on the walls and ceiling to absorb electromagnetic waves and minimize reflections. Its RF shielding prevents external signals from affecting test results.
Ferrite tiles and hybrid RF absorbers are commonly installed on the walls and ceiling. These materials absorb electromagnetic energy and reduce unwanted signal reflections.
CISPR chambers vary in size depending on testing requirements, often designed for 3 m or 10 m measurement distances. They are built with strong flooring to support heavy automotive equipment and test setups.
CISPR 25 testing ensures that automotive electronic systems do not produce excessive electromagnetic interference. This helps maintain reliable vehicle communication and electronic system performance.
Yes, CISPR chambers can be customized in terms of size, absorber type, shielding performance, and measurement systems. Custom designs allow laboratories to meet specific EMC testing standards.
The chamber provides a shielded environment with controlled RF absorption to minimize reflections and interference. This ensures precise and repeatable EMC measurement results.
