Broadband High Performance RF and Microwave Truncated Absorber

DMC Truncated Series foam absorbers are mainly used in EMC Chambers. RF Truncated Absorber are made by removing 20% Pyramid absorber tips to give same performance as Standard Pyramid in low frequency range. The advantage of RF Truncated Absorber  are to provide large working space inside chamber , stronger resistance capability against mechanical damage and eliminating drooping of tips.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a foam RF absorber where the pyramid tip is truncated, designed to reduce electromagnetic reflections in EMC and RF test chambers.
About 20% of the pyramid tip is removed, which provides additional chamber space and improves mechanical durability without significantly affecting low-frequency performance.

The absorber operates across 30 MHz to 40 GHz, covering most EMC and microwave testing applications.
Typical reflectivity levels reach approximately −30 dB, depending on absorber size and frequency.
They are mainly used in EMC compliance chambers, antenna testing facilities, and RF measurement laboratories.

The absorber is made from carbon-impregnated polyurethane foam, which efficiently absorbs electromagnetic energy.
It can handle approximately 1.5 kW/m² with a CW radiated field strength around 540 V/m.

Yes. It complies with NRL-8093, UL-94, and DIN 4102-B2 fire safety standards.
The absorber can operate continuously at temperatures up to 90 °C in RF testing environments.

It helps reduce RF reflections, improve EMC measurement accuracy, increase chamber space, and enhance mechanical durability.
