Client’s Requirement

Our client, a major housing equipment manufacturer, sought a reliable method for measuring the acoustic power level of their water heaters and bathtubs. They needed a solution that not only provided accurate results but also ensured consistency and reliability in their acoustic testing process.

Our Solution

Drawing upon the expertise of DMC, we proposed the implementation of a prefabricated anechoic chamber specifically designed for water heater acoustic power level measurement. This chamber boasts a unique construction, featuring a sound insulation layer composed of bolt-assembled steel sound insulation panels and a sound absorption layer utilizing Sound Absorption Wedge T-500, with a thickness of 500mm.

Our solution offers a completely anechoic environment, achieved through the strategic installation of sound-absorbing wedges on the floor, walls, and ceiling.

To facilitate ease of use, the chamber’s floor is covered in grating, allowing for efficient transportation of samples to the center of the room. Additionally, a steel gangplank is provided to ensure seamless movement and positioning of equipment within the chamber.
